Say Hello to the

Recipe Organizer & Meal Planner Trello Template

—Organize all your favourite recipes and your meal plan in one place!

Replace all your scattered printouts, cookbooks, and recipe cards with this one template.

do you want to have your recipes organized in one place, and be able to meal plan at the same time?

SOUND FAMILIAR?

We all have them - those binders in our kitchen that are stuffed full of all different recipes: ones we've made, ones we haven't tried yet, ones that we loved, ones that flopped.

The pages are stained with spaghetti sauce and olive oil, and you swear, one day you're going to organize that binder into neat little sections.

Well, if you're anything like me, that never seems to happen - and you end up just going to Google because it's a whole lot easier than leafing through your disorganized binder or million cook books trying to find the recipe you want.

I NEEDED A MEAL PLANNING SOLUTION

We all have those favourite recipes we like to make over and over again. And once in awhile, we have an idea for a NEW recipe we'd like to try.

But how do we keep track of all these recipes?

What if we need another family member to start working on a meal before we get home? Will they know where to find the recipe?

I wanted a way to keep track of all our family's favourite recipes, PLUS all the new recipes I've been meaning to try, in one place.

Since I tend to look up most of my recipes online, rather than using cookbooks these days, then I wanted a digital solution for recipe organization.

Organize your family's favourite recipes & keep track of the new recipes you want to make - all in one place!

Plus easily pick and choose which meals to add to your meal plan for the week.

ORGANIZE YOUR RECIPES!

Repeat after me:

I am organized.

All our family's favorite recipes are in one place, and easy to find.

Instead of a binder stuffed with printed recipes that I can never find, I can open my phone or tablet and click on a recipe.

It's easy to drag-and-drop a new recipe I want to try, right into Trello.

I no longer dread meal planning, because I have a system in place.

IT'S MORE THAN MEAL PLANNING

If you're like me, you dread meal planning, because you have to rack your brain to try to think of something different to make each day of the week.

You're also trying to use up what's in your fridge and pantry, because you can't afford to waste food.

You're trying to keep in mind your family's schedule for the week, so you know whether you need something quick & easy, a crock pot meal, or whether you have time to cook a big feast from scratch.

Having all your family's favorite meals in one place, organized by category, makes this a cinch.

Just glance through the ‘crock pot’ category to find what you want to make, then drag it into your weekly meal plan.

Are you getting excited yet?

LET'S TAKE A closer LOOK AT

TRELLO RECIPE ORGANIZER & MEAL PLANNER

This Trello board allows you to organize all your recipes in ONE PLACE - both your favorites, and the ones you want to try. Let’s take a look at what’s inside:

Recipes to Try

You know when you come across a recipe online that you think looks awesome and you want to try it, but then you forget about it, or can't remember where you saw it?

Your ‘Recipes to Try’ list will prevent that from ever happening again!

On a computer, you can just drag and drop the URL onto a card, and it will automatically populate an image. Clicking the card will link you directly to the recipe!

On a mobile device, you can either copy/paste the URL, or use your browser's ‘share’ button, and share directly to Trello.

Recipe Organizer

Organize all your recipes by category.

You can have a list for ‘main course’, ‘side dishes’, ‘desserts’, ‘soups’, and whatever else you would like.

It's a great way to see at a glance what your options are when building a meal plan. (Even if you don't have a recipe, it's just a great memory trigger).

Drag and drop your cards into your weekly meal plan, and you're done!

At the end of the week, drag them back to their category list and start again.

Meal Planner

Once you have all your recipes organized by category, it's a cinch to drag and drop them into your weekly meal plan!

Grab a main dish and a side dish, and drag them under the day of the week you want to make them.

Had a rough day and ended up ordering pizza? No biggie! Just drag that day's meal to a different day of the week.

The beauty of digital planning is you don't have to cross things out and re-write them. Drag and drop only takes a second!

At the end of the week, drag your recipes back to their category list so you can start again!

Grocery List

Have you ever wished your grocery list and meal plan were in the same place?

It only makes sense that while you're planning your meals for the week, you'll be adding things to your grocery list so you know what you need.

These grocery lists are customizable, and reusable, so you can check off items when you purchase them, and uncheck them when you need them!

You won't have to rack your brain for what you need, because all the things you normally buy are right there.

If you're a busy mom like me, the mental load of everything we have to keep in our brain can be stressful.

We want to be organized, but there seems to be a disconnect between what our brain wants, and what actually happens.

On a busy weekday, we end up grabbing take out, or cooking something from a package, instead of using that precious, expensive produce we bought, that we had the best plans for.

A week goes by, and that produce is wilted or slimy in the crisper drawer, and we feel terrible about both the food waste and the money waste.

Best laid plans and all of that.

If you could take 5 minutes at the beginning of each week to glance through your recipe cards and drag them into your meal plan for the week, you'll be much more likely to actually use that produce you bought.

When all your recipes and meal ideas are in one place, that's one less thing you have to carry in your brain. You don't have to waste energy coming up with ideas, you just have to drag and drop.

finally organize your recipes in one place so you can pull together a meal plan in just minutes each week.

Our minds are cluttered enough. Using a simple tool like Trello to organize your recipes and your meal plan, is one less thing you have to stress about.

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

Organizing your recipes and making a weekly meal plan will simplify your life, and save you a ton of money.
