Say Hello to the
Garden Planning Trello Template
-Stop feeling overwhelmed when it comes to keeping up with your gardens!
Organize your gardening tasks, planting schedule, and all your plant information in one place!
Do you Want to get organized when it comes to gardening?
SOUND FAMILIAR?
Are you new to gardening, and have no clue when you're supposed to be starting your seeds?
Or have you been gardening for awhile, but feel scattered about when you're supposed to do what?
Are you wasting money on duplicate seeds because you're never sure what you have at home, so you end up grabbing more?
Do you wish you had ONE place to organize all your gardening information? (Besides a notebook that gets lost, dirty, and takes you forever to find what you need).
WELL, YOU SEE—I FELT THE SAME WAY.
Which is why I knew I needed a place where I could store ALL of my gardening information in one place.
I tried gardening notebooks in the past, but since seed starting dates change each year, it was a pain to keep scratching out and editing dates.
I don't have to purchase the same seeds each year, since I always have leftovers from the year before, so it's nice to be able to quickly edit my list instead of starting a new one each time.
I wanted to know at a quick glance, which seeds I needed to start each week in the spring, without having to rifle through every seed packet and read the tiny fine print on the back.
I ALWAYS have my phone with me, so when I'm out shopping and see some seeds, I can quickly check my inventory to see whether I need them or not.
Grow food for your family without feeling overwhelmed.
Know exactly what seeds you need to start each week to stay on track.
Repeat after me:
I am an organized gardener!
I know exactly which seeds I have on hand, and which ones I need to purchase.
Each week, I know exactly which seeds I need to start, what I need to transplant outdoors, and what I need to direct sow.
As a result, I no longer feel overwhelmed by gardening.
Gardening feels like a joy, rather than a burden.
it's more than just a garden
Feeding your family is the most important job you have.
Whether you are just planning to grow a few fresh things to supplement your groceries, or you have a goal to grow all of the vegetables for your family, having a system to keep things organized makes life so much easier.
Growing your own food can not only save you ton of money, it's also comforting knowing that what you're eating is 100% pesticide-free, and grown with love.
A little bit of planning goes a long way, and your garden is no exception.
You'll be better equipped to expand your garden each year, once you have a good system in place.
Are you getting excited yet?

DID YOU KNOW…
In 2023, the average Canadian family of 4 spent $16,288.41 per year on groceries.
That's no joke. Some families barely make that much a year.
And it's only going to continue to rise.
-even if you only grow enough vegetables to provide for your family during the growing season, you could save hundreds, if not thousands of dollars per year.

a little organization goes a long way.
There is something magical about knowing you can feed your family from your own backyard.
All it takes is a little planning, and you can save your family thousands of dollars per year by growing your own produce.
If you're anything like me, the feeling that comes with providing for your family directly, by growing your own food, can't be matched.
You know exactly how it's grown, and what isn't in it.
You no longer care that grocery store lettuce is $5, because you bought an entire pack of lettuce seeds for 99 cents, and that one pack will last you 5 years.
But actually getting organized enough to start that garden can feel a bit overwhelming.
So often, I missed the planting window, and ended up having to buy seedling starts at the garden centre.
There is nothing wrong with buying seedling starts if you're late getting started, or if you don't have the time or space to start your own seedlings from scratch.
But it is a more expensive way of growing food.
You can buy a packet of seeds for $1-3, and have enough seeds to last you for 4-5 years.
Sometimes buying seedling starts is almost as expensive as just buying the vegetables at the grocery store.
And truthfully, so often the reason I ended up buying starts was because I just wasn't organized enough and missed my window of opportunity.
Rifling through dozens of seed packets, reading the tiny print, trying to figure out when they are supposed to be started, whether to start them indoors or plant them directly outdoors, and how to care for them, can be enough to make you throw your hands up and give up on your garden before you even begin.
The beauty of the Trello Garden Planning Template, is that you only have to set it up once!
Each year, you'll just need to change the year on your seed starting dates, and make little tweaks depending on what and how much you want to grow.
It's also a living, breathing gardening journal that you can tweak each year based on your own growing experiences.
WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?
Let's get organized so you can get busy planting!
